Before ordering your sliding wardrobe doors, you need to measure the opening where the doors will be fitted. Measure the opening size, not the door size. Take each measurement carefully and always use the smaller measurement where instructed.
For a level ceiling.
If your ceiling is straight, you will need to measure the width and height of the opening. Take measurements in more than one position, as walls, floors and ceilings may not be completely straight.
Measure the opening at the top (A) and bottom (B), then use the smaller measurement. Measure from wall to wall, or between the inside faces of the end panels. If the walls are uneven, use wall liners to create a straight surface for the doors to close against. The maximum opening width is 5500mm.
Measure from the floor to the ceiling, or to the top of the wardrobe opening, at all three positions shown (A, B and C). Use the smallest measurement. The top track can allow for up to 15mm of height difference. If the floor is uneven or not level, use a floor liner. The maximum opening height is 2540mm. For openings higher than this, contact us before ordering.
If you are using wall liners, measure the width between the inside faces of the liners. If you are using a floor liner, measure the height from the top face of the floor liner to the ceiling or top of the opening. This gives you the actual space available for the sliding doors.
For sloping spaces.
An angled ceiling needs a few extra measurements because the width and height can change across the opening. Take each measurement at the positions shown in the angled ceiling diagram.
Measure the width at A, B and C as shown. Measurement A is the width at the ceiling. Compare measurements B and C and use the smaller measurement. Measure from wall to wall, or between the inside faces of the end panels. If the walls are uneven, fit wall liners to create straight vertical surfaces. The maximum opening width is 5500mm.
Measure from the floor to the ceiling or top of the wardrobe at each position shown in the diagram. Use the smallest measurement. The top track can allow for up to 15mm of height difference. If the floor is uneven or not level, use a floor liner. The maximum opening height is 2540mm. Contact us before ordering if your opening is higher than this.
