Panel Edgebanding

LASER AND PUR GLUE TECHNOLOGY

Professionally Edged Panels

Impeccable finish and excellent adhesion.

Our edgebanding machines use PUR glue, which provides excellent tape-to-panel adhesion and seals the edge protecting against water ingress. The machines have additional near-infrared laser glueing station, allowing to apply special edging tape that leaves no visible joint line.

We can edgeband straight panels as narrow as 20mm in width and as short as 30mm in length.  We can also edgeband panels cut on an angle. The thickest panel we can apply edging tape to is 60mm in height.

In every above case, we will tune the machine to suit the decor board so that edging tape fits the panel perfectly.

Two Different Technologies

Great edgebanding results.

PUR Glue
PUR Glue
Polyurethane reactive hot melt glue is very different from traditional hot melts used in lower-end edgebanders. When applied, it forms a solid bond and obtains immediate edgeband adhesion. The bond also possesses superior flexibility, can withstand a broader range of temperatures and is water impenetrable. This adhesive option is ideal for applications subjected to a wide range of climate conditions. Also, when comparing to traditional hot melt adhesives, it requires twice as little glue application providing a thinner glue line and a better-looking finish.
Laser Technology
Laser Technology
The innovative laser bonding technology makes it possible to bond the edgeband and board permanently without adhesive and leaves no visible joint line. A highly efficient near-infrared laser replaces the usual glueing element in the edgebanding machine. Board decorative layer melts to the bottom of the special edgeband and bonds the components together permanently. It makes it possible to do away with adhesive entirely and to create an invisible bond. However, the bond is not as strong as that of PUR glue.

Edging Tape Finish Options

One millimetre thick.

ABS Edging Tape

1mm ABS edgebanding tape is very discreet and provides a reasonably strong edge surface. The tape can be milled to two different finishes—radius and square.

Radius Finish
Radius Finish
A one-millimetre rounded shape is milled to both sides of the tape and corners, making it gentle to the touch and easy on the eye. This finish is ideal for projects where precision and functionality have to balance.
Square Finish
Square Finish
Ideal for those after precision and sharp lines. We cut the tape flat to the board surface, leaving both sides of the edgebanding tape and corners square. This finish looks better on dark colours than on light.

Two millimetre thick.

ABS Edging Tape

2mm ABS edgebanding tape provides a durable edge surface. However, some may consider it a little too obtrusive. The tape can be milled to two different finishes—radius and bevel.

Radius Finish
Radius Finish
A two-millimetre rounded shape is milled to both sides of the tape and corners, making it very pleasant to the touch. This is a classic finish for bedroom furniture.
Bevel Finish
Bevel Finish
For those requiring a unique look, this option offers a modern and robust edge finish. The tape is milled at 45° bevel giving both sides of the edgebanding tape and corners a diamond-cut look. It shows best on panels with flat colours and modern decorative surfaces.

Paintable Preparation Tape

Use the preparation tape to seal edges of an MDF board. The tape provides an excellent surface for hand painting at home or spraypainting in a factory, eliminating the need to fill and sand edges. The edge finish can be left square for you to sand by hand or rounded with approximately 1mm radius.

Radius Finish
Radius Finish
A one-millimetre rounded shape is milled to both sides of the board and corners, making it gentle to the touch and easy on the eye. This finish is a must when spraypainting.
Square Finish
Square Finish
Ideal for those after precision and sharp lines. We scrape the tape flat to the board surface, leaving both sides of the board and corners square. You can then run sandpaper over the edges to get your preferred level of roundness before painting.
